Spent Saturday afternoon at the Martha Eliot Health Center Health Fair, hosted annually by Boston Children’s Hospital. It’s a fantastic event dedicated to providing families with valuable health education and resources.

Ribbon Cutting for Josiah Quincy Upper School in Chinatown
We were thrilled to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and had the opportunity to explore the remarkable new facility at the Josiah Quincy Upper School in Chinatown. It’s a truly impressive space, designed with incredible features that will undoubtedly foster an enriching environment for learning and growth.

Honored to join the community for DeeDee’s Cry 7th anniversary walk, standing in solidarity with survivors, families, and all those impacted by suicide. We were able to walk alongside fellow Councilors Louijeune & Mejia as well as Senator Miranda for the morning’s event.

Continuing our visits this morning at Tobin School in Mission Hill, we connected with local advocate Leon Rivera to discuss pedestrian safety & ways to enhance family safety in the area. We also had the chance to catch up with Caitlin Gaffey, who taught when I attended Tobin!
Shirley’s Pantry Visit
Had a meaningful visit to Shirley’s Pantry with Team Santana! We helped restock produce, pack meals and support their team.

Team Santana Neighborhood Clean Up in Dorchester
That’s a wrap on the neighborhood clean ups organized by our summer intern team! Throughout August we’ve visited Mattapan, Roxbury and Friday we took to the streets of Dorchester joined by Councilor Fitzgerald and friends from ITYouth, Greater Ashmont Main Streets, and Sociedad Latina!
We’re so grateful to be able to give back to the community and help keep our streets clean. Thanks to everyone who has joined us throughout the clean up series!

Yesterday, we were honored to participate in the Dominican Flag-raising ceremony at City Hall. As one of the three Dominican City Councilors, it is always a pleasure to share our culture with the broader community. Our flag symbolizes the strength and unity of our community and celebrates the significant contributions of Dominicans in Boston.
Team Santana Neighborhood Clean Up in Mattapan
This morning we visited Mattapan on the next stop of our Clean Up Series. Team Santana took on trash collection and cleaning of a stretch of Blue Hill Ave!
As always, thank you to the Office of Civic Organizing for providing the tools and bags, and to Public Works for collecting our trash. Plus 311 for supporting Inspection Service requests in the area.
