Spent Saturday afternoon at the Martha Eliot Health Center Health Fair, hosted annually by Boston Children’s Hospital. It’s a fantastic event dedicated to providing families with valuable health education and resources.

Thanks to the Open Streets team for coordinating this weekend’s Open Streets in East Boston and everyone who stopped by the table to play Jenga, leave a doodle on the sidewalk and play hopscotch with us! We loved meeting you!

We were thrilled to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and had the opportunity to explore the remarkable new facility at the Josiah Quincy Upper School in Chinatown. It’s a truly impressive space, designed with incredible features that will undoubtedly foster an enriching environment for learning and growth.

Congratulations to Dorchester Market! They’re now open for business in Dorchester offering the community fresh produce and groceries. Thank you to Councilor FitzGerald for extending the invitation to join the ribbon cutting.

Honored to join the community for DeeDee’s Cry 7th anniversary walk, standing in solidarity with survivors, families, and all those impacted by suicide. We were able to walk alongside fellow Councilors Louijeune & Mejia as well as Senator Miranda for the morning’s event.

Delighted to have spent an evening with the vibrant Bowdoin-Geneva community, alongside the Cape Verdean Association of Boston! UNITY days are a special opportunity to listen to neighbors, engage with local resource groups and celebrate the spirit of togetherness that makes this community so special.

Thank you to New Health for the warm invitation to visit their North End location. It was a pleasure to learn more about their services, history, and advocacy in providing affordable healthcare to the community.

Continuing our visits this morning at Tobin School in Mission Hill, we connected with local advocate Leon Rivera to discuss pedestrian safety & ways to enhance family safety in the area. We also had the chance to catch up with Caitlin Gaffey, who taught when I attended Tobin!

Had a meaningful visit to Shirley’s Pantry with Team Santana! We helped restock produce, pack meals and support their team.

So glad we were able to pop into Commonwealth Development’s UNITY Day!

A big shoutout to Ranked Choice Boston for including us in their Coalition Appreciation Barbecue! We had an amazing time mingling, celebrating our wins, and savoring delicious food while enjoying great music. Looking forward to working towards collective priorities.

That’s a wrap on the neighborhood clean ups organized by our summer intern team! Throughout August we’ve visited Mattapan, Roxbury and Friday we took to the streets of Dorchester joined by Councilor Fitzgerald and friends from ITYouth, Greater Ashmont Main Streets, and Sociedad Latina!

We’re so grateful to be able to give back to the community and help keep our streets clean. Thanks to everyone who has joined us throughout the clean up series!

Happy to have joined the North American Indian Center of Boston’s Back to School Event.

Small businesses are the cornerstone of our community. We’re thankful to have joined Councilor Breadon and Alex from Allston Village Main Streets for a walk down Harvard Ave, engaging with local business owners. Listening to their experiences helps us develop systems that support and enable our local businesses to thrive.

Grateful for the opportunity to join the Meetinghouse Hill Civic Association meeting this weekend. We were able to connect with Dorchester neighbors and hear more about concerns that are close to the heart of the community. Thank you to Shirley Jones for the invitation!

Spent Saturday morning at the 3rd Annual This Dad Cares Grill off! Not only were we able to celebrate dads and their meaningful contributions to both families and the community but we were able to sync with local organizations who support Fathers and families.

It was an absolute joy to join everyone in celebrating the rich culture, vibrant traditions, and spirited community that make our Dominican community so special.

Yesterday, we were honored to participate in the Dominican Flag-raising ceremony at City Hall. As one of the three Dominican City Councilors, it is always a pleasure to share our culture with the broader community. Our flag symbolizes the strength and unity of our community and celebrates the significant contributions of Dominicans in Boston.

This morning we visited Mattapan on the next stop of our Clean Up Series. Team Santana took on trash collection and cleaning of a stretch of Blue Hill Ave!
