The First Term (2024–2025):
A Foundation of Action
Concluding my first term as your Councilor At-Large marked a massive milestone in our shared journey.
When I first stepped into this role in January 2024, I promised to bring a unique blend of lived experience and a deep commitment to our neighborhoods. Looking back on those two years, I am incredibly proud of how we turned that vision into action.
It was a period defined by relentlessness.
Together, we filed 120 pieces of legislation, tackling the most critical issues facing our city—from fighting for affordable housing and protecting our LGBTQIA+ community to deeply investing in the next generation.
My team and I dedicated over 4,400 hours to youth development and successfully launched Santana’s CAPE. None of this was done in isolation; every win was a collaboration with you, the community.
That first term set the standard and laid the groundwork for the work that continues in my second term.
