Intersex Awareness Day Presentation with Esther Leidolf at the Boston City Council

It was an honor to have Esther Leidolf join us at today’s Boston City Council meeting. Esther, for decades, has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of people with intersex traits, and has confronted the stigmas and challenges that many in this community face.

As the founder of the MRKH Organization, based right here in Boston, Esther has helped countless individuals find the support and understanding they deserve. Esther’s contributions go beyond advocacy, having served as a union carpenter, and with an extensive background in public health through work with the Boston Public Health Commission, Fenway Health, and other community health organizations.

Thank you, Esther, for joining us today and sharing your experience.

Our office sponsored a resolution which was unanimously passed recognizing October 26 as Intersex Awareness Day in the City of Boston.
