Boston Globe: Emerson encampment removal draws mixed reaction from city leaders

“The right to protest is sacred, and what happened last night, I don’t think is a real reflection of who we are as a city,” Santana told the Globe.

“As a Black man who grew up here in the city of Boston, there’s just a lot of trauma that our communities are going through when it comes to police, and some of that resurfaced yesterday with some of the videos that we’re seeing.”
