Before I begin…
I want to thank the community advocates, family, and friends who are here today.
I got to connect with some of you before the meeting.
For everyone, please know that you have my gratitude and appreciation for your dedication to the city of Boston.
I am honored to be a member of this body. It is clear that my colleagues — both City Councilors and staff — are each committed to working together to serve Boston’s residents.
And I want to thank the residents of Boston for entrusting me with the sacred honor of serving you as your Boston City Councilor At-Large.
I’m here to represent all Bostonians — to hear your needs, your challenges, and your aspirations.
And I’m here to meet them — by working with my colleagues, here on the City Council, and in the administration.
And it’s in that spirit that I speak today.
I want to share the stories of a handful of Bostonians who my team and I have spoken with about their experiences with housing access and affordability.
And I want to share a strategy I believe the Council should collectively explore to meet their needs, and the needs of all Bostonians.
