Today, we had the privilege of hosting a special Earth Day lunch alongside Councilor Durkan. We gathered to celebrate and honor the tireless efforts of environmental activists and the significant milestones of the environmental movement.

During lunch we heard from Hessann Farooqi, the Executive Director of the Boston Climate Action Network (BCAN). For 24 years, BCAN has been at the forefront of advocating for climate justice policies in our city. It was inspiring to learn more about their impactful work and ongoing initiatives that aim to secure a sustainable future for all Bostonians.

Climate change is a reality that affects each one of us, touching every corner of our city and planet. By working together to champion environmental causes, we are not only safeguarding our present but also ensuring a resilient and thriving Boston for generations to come.
